CONGRESS PLUS TRAINING

Training classes for Congress Plus are held in February, May, August, and November each year. The classes are free and lunch is served. The location is at the Public Affairs Council in Washington, DC. On site training can also be arranged.

PAC is on the corner of 21st and K Street in downtown DC. The entrance is on 21st Street between K and L Streets. The closest Metro Station is Farragut North. Take the K street Exit, and then walk west along K Street to 21st. Turn right and enter 2033 in the middle of the block. PAC is within 4 blocks of the following Metro stations: Foggy Bottom (blue and orange lines), Farragut West (blue and orange lines), Farragut North (red line). Click here to see a map of the Metro.

Congress Plus Standard Edition Features (10:30AM - 12:00Noon)

• Overview of Congress Plus features, data, and functionality
• How to send broadcast Email and fax communications to hill staff
• How to use the email reports to view click-through and open measurement
• How to create custom reports and spreadsheets
• How to use journals to track your activities
• How to create custom lists
• How to print labels, mail merge, and export data files.
• How to track bills and use the automatic bill update feature
• How to import votes and create vote scorecards
• How to create User Defined Fields
• How to use the filter to do analysis

Lunch Break (12:00AM - 12:30PM)

• Lunch is provided. Meat sandwiches, chips, and soda are served. You can request a vegetarian meal.

Congress Plus Professional Edition Features (12:30-2:00PM)

• How to use Congress Plus to manage your Grass Roots Database
• How to send broadcast Email to targeted grass roots contacts
• How to import a database
• How to find constituents of a targeted group of legislators
• How to create groups
• How to print labels, mail merge, and export data files.
• How to create economic impact reports
• How to create reports that show grass roots contact counts by district
